Modern Warfare: A Scary Insight
Heya guys. A lot of you MIGHT not find this very interesting, but I felt like as if it was my DUTY (Get it, call OF duty?) to post this up.
How I really got to this was basically talking to Peter about CoD6. It led to how it was related to real life. I mean, I knew CoD 5 was all about World War 2 with the Japanese, Americans and Germans but we found out more.
Call of Duty 4 (Modern Warfare) was based on the Chernobyl disaster that occurred on the 26th of April 1986. Okay that was the shit at the top of my head. But now, for the RESEARCHED- PRO SHIT!. :D
On 26 April 1986 01:23:45 a.m. (UTC+3) reactor number four at the Chernobyl plant, near Pripyat in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, exploded. Further explosions and the resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area. Four hundred times more fallout was released than had been by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.[2]

Yes. I SWEAR I stand here when I have my RPD at Downpour. When I TRY sniping also I'll be here. I swear it, cause always Tan or Paul will knife me when they want to snipe here == This disturbs me cause I'm killing people from here. But... Children were killed here once before. Check out their little shoes! I'm seriously freaked out.
Bits of informationApparently, only one person died from the actual explosion. However... 500,000 died after because of the nuclear effect. Scary? I think so...
Kudos to Peter for the motivation, hyper-ness, pictures and information that contributed greatly to this post
