everyone left for their respective rooms. Cheryl and i got lost as the guide didn't show us which room we were supposed to be in earlier. So we were late, as usual.

Sectionals were superb. Not only were the tutors friendly, they made the environment pressure-free and fun for us to be in. The least problems lied with the baritone saxophonists during sectional. There were a few mistakes every once in a while, but the rest all lied with the tenor saxophonists. The other baritone saxophonist whose name i think is Salah was fantastic. He had a lot of air, that's for sure. And he was crushed on by many, and i mean many of of our band members, names not mentioned so that their prides wouldn't be busted. I thought that our full-band rehearsals were awesome. I felt a strong wave of enthusiasm coming from everyone, which motivated them all to play better and which motivated me to be just as good as everyone else. During the actual performance itself, everyone played their very best and put their all into it. The advance band played Celebration for Winds and Percussion, Portrait of a Clown and Barnum and Bailey's. I would say that everyone did fantastic on Celebration for Winds and Percussion, but not that well on Portrait of a Clown as the trumpeters were missing in action somewhere in the middle of the song.

I've learnt that we're not the only ones who're enthusiastic to learn more. The tenor and baritone saxophonists did better than what the tutor expected from us. He taught as much as he could till there was nothing much left too teach. He asked us if we wanted to stop there and have a little break or go on playing. Everyone refused to have a break. Instead we had all wanted to continue on with playing. Our tutor then went on till there was nothing more to improve on, with 10 minutes left to spare. He went out the room for fresh air during that 10 minutes. During that little time, everyone just kept quiet and stared at the ceiling, at the floor, at the table, at the air-conditioner and anywhere else they could land their gazes on. Don't bluff, I poked AlexCheryl and i agreed on wanting to just jump up and introduce ourselves to everyone as we thought that they were a little too anti-socialLol, yeah. xD , which we unfortunately couldn't because our 10 minutes were up and we had to leave for break, to our total reluctance. The saxophonists were attitude-free, to our relief. Everyone's level of musical devotion and enthusiasm were just so high that we all thought that it was really worthwhile joining this year's band festival.

My playing was pretty alright ?!?! You were awesome la, donkey if i were to compare with everyone else. It was really nice to know where i stood among all the rest of the players. As for my preparation before-hand, it was just average. Our band members probably did better than several others for Celebration for Winds and Percussion as we've played that song for a small function our school was holding not too long before and had enough practice. I didn't practice much on Barnum and Bailey's but played pretty alright on it as i love playing dotted rhythms. We practiced on Portrait of a Clown a little more than Barnum and Bailey's, so i did not too bad on that piece either, eventhough it wasn't exactly one of my favourite pieces. I believe i played a lot better on the day of the band festival as everyone who did good motivated me a lot to do better.

A request from me, can you please spare the ejekkan and save me from the fiery anger of YOU-KNOW-WHO. She's giving me "THE LOOK" now every time she sees me. When I think she's forgotten about it, SOMEONE (I WONDER who) will remind her. If I die by her hands or even worse... Her instrument.. *gulps* It's all LAURA and VENODHAH's fault.

My will- All my belongings will go to my sister and she can decide what to do with it. The guitars can go to Shannon. My phone goes to Sheau Swan. My drawings go to Previtta. And my last 50 bucks in my coin box, goes to my parents.

My funeral, everyone has to wear pink, blue and white. Esther HAS to play her solo for Celebration. Shannon can pick the worship songs for the event. I wouldn't mind being cremated, but if got a lot of family politics... Bury also can la. Make sure everyone comes. =D
