I am not going to tell you what I used to listen to.... Because I simply don't want to. But I'll tell on how I loved instruments when introduced to it by odd people. Who I never knew were so significant in my life until now. Some I found out earlier cause they made it big and my maths is horrible so I didn't put two and two together (as usual)

When I was 4, my parents used to go to different malls all the time for some sales promotion. At the same time in Bangsar, Techniques (yeah they suck but who cares) was having a promo too! Made friends with someone there as we always do because I was 4 and I was so cute :p (Yeah, I was actually cute then, hard to believe right?) His name was Justin, he was about 20 something then? from 18-22 lah.. Give and take.. He had long hair and stuff... Anyway, he was an all-rounder. He played everything really well. I exceptionally liked the drums... He thought me the basic 4 beat, 8 beat and 16 beat.. And all that.. The keyboards, I could never really play because.. well.. I don't know... I can play all the basics stuff lah on my organ but it ends there. No Rudess stuff :(

Yeap, my first love was the drums. I forgot all about it too until someone asked me about 2 weeks ago... But I had no where to practice so I decided to pick up the guitar. I hated the guitar. My fingers used to chip and bleed and I would cry XD Screw me... SORRY GUITAR!

When I was 9, I met Maya.. Went to her house all the time. I used to play the drums there too! But I played Travis Barker stuff. He rocked.. But my taste was extremely limited because of somebody who I'll not mention here. Later on.. Stopped going there, stopped playing drums haha... Picked up the guitar once again because I was depressed that I couldn't play the drums. I could play the major chords and didn't know what to do next... Swt.. Dropped it again..

In Std 5, (I was 10) Something bizarre happened and they asked me to play guitar for some stupid competition. Even though I played all the wrong chords for all three songs, but yet.. We won. In the process of practicing, I learnt lame songs like Behind Blue Eyes, the good Nickelback songs and Creed songs, Nirvana songs and stuff like that... I put them to use at the end of the year... Im not going to get into that story here. But I saw something inspiring on the first day of the school holidays. I remember this day SO clearly that it's scary...

I fell in love again. Yes it is what you are thinking folks, THE GUITAR PHASE IS BACK! IN THE FLESH! w00T! Seeing someone at a normal age play SOOO WELL was exactly what I needed- Motivation. This moment was priceless.. (for a lot of other reasons too ;)) From then, I really had no direction... I wasn't a geek then... I never knew Powertabs EXISTED! And I listened to shit. I later grew out of the shit phase immediately. Okay not immediately I had good moments with Blink 182 :p Extremely good moments. Can't believe they disbanded. Even though I don't like them, but they'll always mean something to me.

I decided to learn guitar and I magically did, thanks to the Internet and a few people who gave me tips here and there... Shannon too got "inspired" She took up classes WAY (2 years) before me. Lucky clown. But her dad (her REAL dad) asked her to stop because her grades were dropping. (apparently so..-_-) My dad will never stop my classes because he knows that's the only thing I am useful for other than making his websites.

Now, well.. I still suck.. But I have a more acquired taste for music now :) So Praise the Lord with my non-existent talent which is sure to grow, because I practice like crazy. And I will use that grown talent later to praise Him. :) I'll play in FoG. Woooo
